Appleton North faced Franklin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lightning walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sabers. The win was familiar territory for the Lightning, who have now won seven contests in a row.

NATHAN RAMUS paced Appleton North's offense, picking up 12 kills. RAMUS got some help from SPENCER MUNSON and his 21 assists.

Appleton North's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Franklin, they moved to 26-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, Appleton North will challenge Kaukauna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
