Mesquite won the last time they faced Vista Grande and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mesquite took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Leading Mesquite to victory were Deliliah Nielsen and Cami White. Nielsen had six digs and three aces, while White had eight aces and five digs. The dominant performance also gave White a new career-high in assists (13).

They weren't the only good server: Mesquite was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in nine consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Mesquite now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Vista Grande, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
