Basketball Game Preview: Millard North Mustangs vs. Quincy Blue Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Millard North Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Quincy Blue Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Quincy will be up against a hot Millard North squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Millard North blew past Vashon 58-21 on Friday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked ninth in Nebraska, while the Wolverines are ranked 374th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Quincy humbled Geneseo with a 65-37 victory.

Quincy found their leader in sophomore Jada Brown, who went 11 for 17 en route to 22 points along with eight boards and six assists. Khloe Nicholson was another key player, going 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.

Quincy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Millard North, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
