It was a good run, but Weedsport unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Beaver River Beavers by a score of 68-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Weedsport's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Beaver River, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Weedsport will square off against Cato-Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Weedsport's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Beaver River, they will face off against Sackets Harbor Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Sackets Harbor Central likes a good challenge.
