Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Kendrick's Third in Last Four Outings

If Clearwater Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kendrick, they should've done a better job of containing Hali Anderson. The Kendrick Tigers took down the Clearwater Valley Rams 53-34 on Saturday thanks in part to Anderson, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 16 points. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Hailie Hoffman, who posted eight points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Kendrick has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to offensive rebounds: they averaged an imposing 8.47 offensive boards in those games compared to only 8.47 in the others. As for Clearwater Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Kendrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clearwater Valley, they will head out to challenge Timberline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearwater Valley is facing Timberline at the right time seeing as Timberline is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
