Baseball Recap: Cory-Rawson Comes Up Short

Cory-Rawson had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 4-11 to make it 11. They came up short against the Botkins Trojans, falling 13-3. The Fighting Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Dom Moon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.

As for Botkins, their record is now 7-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Botkins' side, Phil Hall looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Botkins got a massive performance out of Elijah Schuller, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Schuller has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Will Monnin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Cory-Rawson will head out on the road to challenge Kenton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Botkins, they will host Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
