Volleyball Recap: Pomona's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

Pomona had to endure a 12-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wheat Ridge Farmers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Wheat Ridge scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 27-29, 25-23.

Pomona was led to victory by Liliana Hart and Natalia Grzebieniarz. Hart had ten digs, while Grzebieniarz had six kills, five digs, and four aces. Those four aces gave Grzebieniarz a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Pomona was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pomona's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Wheat Ridge, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8.
