Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Westminster Wolves
Even though the Westminster Wolves scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, the Boulder Panthers still came out on top. Boulder took their matchup against Westminster 69-58. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Boulder also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Boulder was led to victory by Cole Morrow and Kyle Blauch. Morrow scored 25 points along with two steals, while Blauch dropped a double-double on 26 points and 20 rebounds. Blauch has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bruce Matthews, who scored five points along with two steals.
Boulder's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Westminster, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
Boulder will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Legacy at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Legacy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to face off against Denver East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westminster in Colorado (Denver East is ranked 74th, while Westminster is ranked 213th).
