Basketball Recap: Blanco Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Blanco was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Comfort on Tuesday. Everything went the Blanco Panthers' way against the Comfort Bobcats/Deer as the Blanco Panthers made off with a 38-12 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Blanco found their leader in sophomore Ashton Uballe, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the most points Uballe has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Dotson, who earned three points along with 11 boards and five steals.

With the win, Blanco broke their 14-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-20. As for Comfort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Blanco will venture away from home to challenge Brady at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Brady has lost four straight at home , while Blanco has lost six on the road (dating back to last season). As for Comfort, they will welcome Ingram Moore at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
