South Anchorage waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Chugiak Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win back in October.

Ellie Birch paced South Anchorage's offense, picking up 12 kills. Birch got some help from Ellie Kleven and her 31 assists. Jessica Gieser controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 39-3-1. As for Chugiak, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 31-14-1.

Coincidentally, South Anchorage and Chugiak will both be playing Dimond the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
