Football Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Smoky Mountain Mustangs

After each having a week off, the Franklin Panthers and the Smoky Mountain Mustangs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin has three straight victories, Smoky Mountain has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Franklin made easy work of North Henderson and carried off a 42-21 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Smoky Mountain played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 34-8 to West Henderson.

Smoky Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
