Softball Recap: Rio Americano Comes Up Short

Rio Americano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Bella Vista Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on April 9th.

Rio Americano saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Bloyed, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Alexis Rivera also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Rio Americano's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Bella Vista, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rio Americano will challenge rival Christian Brothers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bella Vista is set to face off against their familiar foe Vista del Lago at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
