Baseball Preview: Moore County Raiders vs. Huntland Hornets

The Moore County Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Huntland Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Moore County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.

Moore County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Zion Christian Academy as Moore County made off with an 8-0 win.

Jay Sparkman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Parker, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Luke Gold, who went 1-for-1 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Huntland was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-5 to Community.
