Basketball Recap: Cornersville Victorious + How To Watch

Cornersville's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Santa Fe Wildcats 48-46. The 48-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Cornersville had a senior duo take command as Hunter Uland dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds and Ayden Campbell posted 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Campbell has scored at least a third of the Bulldogs' points. Konnor Callahan was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards.

Cornersville was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Santa Fe saw an underclassman step up: freshman Judson Slaughter scored eight points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Slaughter, who put up eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Cornersville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Santa Fe, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornersville will welcome Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Fe, they will face off against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
