Basketball Recap: Romeoville Comes Up Short

Romeoville lost against Plainfield South back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Romeoville Spartans came up short against the Plainfield South Cougars, falling 62-42. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Romeoville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-15. As for Plainfield South, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Romeoville will head out to face off against Plainfield Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Romeoville is facing Plainfield Central at the right time seeing as Plainfield Central is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Plainfield South, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Plainfield South Cougars challenge the Joliet West Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
