Soccer Recap: Spalding Takes a Loss

Spalding lost against Whitewater back in March of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Spalding can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Whitewater are ranked 57th).

Spalding dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Whitewater, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Spalding and Whitewater will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Jaguars see the pitch they'll take on Griffin at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Whitewater, their break will end when they face Forest Park at 8:00 p.m. on the 16th.
