Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Yuma

The Brawley Wildcats will take on the Yuma Criminals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Brawley is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against San Luis on Tuesday. Brawley came up short against San Luis, falling 4-1. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Yuma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 5-1 loss courtesy of Arcadia.

Brawley's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-2. As for Yuma, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Brawley beat Yuma 3-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2015. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brawley since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
