Softball Recap: Billings West Comes Up Short

Billings West managed to slip by Skyview the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Bears came up short against the Falcons on Tuesday, falling 17-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Bears have suffered since April 13, 2024.

Ryane Viker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alise Steinmetz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Billings West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Skyview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Billings West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Glacier on the 19th. As for Skyview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Billings Senior on the 16th.
