Basketball Recap: Bland Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Bland Tigers took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitewright Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Whitewright this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-44 back in January.

Bland has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Whitewright, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-4.

Bland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whitewright, they are taking a road trip to square off against Alvord at 6:30 p.m. on February 18th.
