Football Recap: Lake Takes a Loss

Lake extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Eastwood Eagles. The game marked the Flyers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Eastwood, their win bumped their record up to 7-2. They haven't had any issues with Lake recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Eastwood found their leader in sophomore Trace Johnson, who rushed for 120 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

Looking ahead, Lake will square off against Genoa Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flyers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Eastwood, they will challenge Maumee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
