Softball Recap: Bloom-Carroll Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Bloom-Carroll waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Whitehall-Yearling Rams a 20-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Maddi Walters 2026 (Danville Area CC made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Walters 2026 (Danville Area CC was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madelyn Gates 2026 (Northern Kentucky), who fired off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Emma Brandt 2027 (Shawnee State) also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Bloom-Carroll lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitehall-Yearling didn't launched any.

Bloom-Carroll's record now sits at 20-4. As for Whitehall-Yearling, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

As of now, neither Bloom-Carroll nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
