Hoggard had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 17 on Saturday. They blew past the New Hanover Wildcats, posting  a  61-34 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19  contests by 21  points or more this season.
It was another big night for  Tristan Shivers, who  went 9-for-18  on her way to 22 points in addition to seven  assists and seven  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Hoggard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avery Fitzgerald, who  posted 15  points and seven  boards.
 Hoggard  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in 16 consecutive  matches.
 New Hanover's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brianna Stanley, who  earned 11 points and four  steals. Stanley is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed four or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Justine McCague was another key player,  putting up eight  points.
Hoggard's record is now 26-1. As for New Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.
As of now, neither Hoggard nor New Hanover have any future games scheduled.
