League recap: Ridge View rises in state rank

Ridge View scaled the state rankings by moving to 60 from 100 this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 2. The Raptors climbed the ranks as a result of besting Woodbury Central 34-8.

Northwest Webster took down Prairie Valley 55-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.

At the moment, the Cougars are in third, while Ridge View is in second.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Northwest Webster takes on the Raptors. Jeff Anliker's team has allowed 24 points this season, while Ridge View has given up 29. The Cougars allowed 8 points last week as they beat the Warriors.

The Raptors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,911 from 7,689. The advance stemmed from a 34-8 victory over the Wildcats last week.
