Volleyball Game Preview: Kennedy Commanders vs. Denver West Cowboys

The Kennedy Commanders will head out on the road to square off against the Denver West Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kennedy came up short against Overland on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Commanders haven't had much luck with the Trailblazers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-8, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Denver West came into Monday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Lincoln 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cowboys have posted since April 9, 2024.

Denver West wouldn't go down easily and took Lincoln into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-11, 23-25, 25-15, 15-12.

Denver West's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Kennedy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Denver West in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Kennedy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
