Flag Football Recap: Glynn Academy Takes a Loss

Glynn Academy fell victim to South Effingham and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 25-0 to the Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Terrors of the 25-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

South Effingham's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Hetzel, who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score. Savanna Dorsey also helped with two TDs in total.

Glynn Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for South Effingham, their record is now 3-1.

Coincidentally, Glynn Academy and South Effingham will both be playing New Hampstead the next time they take the field. The Terrors will head out to face the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
