Softball Recap: Alhambra Finds Home Field Redemption Against De Anza

There's no place like home for Alhambra, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the De Anza Dons on Wednesday as they made off with a 16-0 win.

At the plate, Corina Griffone was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Juliana Carranza was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Alhambra's record now sits at 10-7. As for De Anza, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Alhambra will square off against Acalanes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Dons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for De Anza, they will take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dons are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
