Football Recap: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Piles Up the Points Against El Capitan

A well-balanced attack led California School for the Deaf-Riverside over El Capitan in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cubs blew the Eagles out of the water with a 44-12 final score. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 32 points or more this season.

Morgan Hawkins had an outrageously good game as he picked up 131 receiving yards and three scores. Those three receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gio Visco and Jasper Martinez. California School for the Deaf-Riverside got some further help from Jordan Young: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles.

The victory made it two in a row for California School for the Deaf-Riverside and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for El Capitan, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
