Demopolis proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shelby County Wildcats, sneaking past 29-27. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Fred Aldridge was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 72 receiving yards and three TDs. Another player making a difference was Jw McAlpine, who threw for 114 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Despite the loss, Shelby County still got an impressive performance from Devan Alexander, who rushed for 136 yards and three scores.

Demopolis' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Shelby County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

As for Shelby County, they will head out on the road to challenge Montevallo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
