Soccer Game Preview: Grace vs. St. Bonaventure

The Grace Lancers will head out to face off against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Grace didn't have quite enough to beat Coast Union and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1134th, while the Broncos are ranked 415th).

Jake Barrett and Tyler Larson scored both of Grace's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure didn't have quite enough to beat Laguna Blanca on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Grace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for St. Bonaventure, they dropped their record down to 1-9-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Grace took their victory against St. Bonaventure in their previous matchup on January 9th by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
