Volleyball Recap: Kettle Moraine Find Success

Kettle Moraine lost to Appleton East back in September of 2016, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Lasers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Patriots.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Kettle Moraine got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 15-25, 15-9.

Kylee Zell paced Kettle Moraine's offense, picking up ten kills. Zell got some help from Stella Wilson and her 24 assists. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Kettle Moraine's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Appleton East, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Kettle Moraine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Middleton on the 13th. Appleton East has also already played their next game (against Hortonville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
