Torres is a perfect 10-0 against Elizabeth since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Toros will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 1:15 p.m. Torres is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
If Torres beats Elizabeth with ten runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Toros put the hurt on Jefferson with a sharp 10-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Toros have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Abraham Ramos was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Ramos was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jouse Solis Rojas and Angel Tostado did most of the damage at the plate: Solis Rojas scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Tostado scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5. Tostado is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Robert Vargas, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Torres was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth fell victim to Torres and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Toros. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.
Torres' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Elizabeth, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Elizabeth's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Torres has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. It's a different story for Elizabeth, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Torres' hitters?
Everything went Torres' way against Elizabeth in their previous meeting on Friday, as Torres made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Toros since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
