Rock Ridge had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 23-22 win over the Warren County Wildcats. This was payback for the Phoenix, who suffered a 33-26 loss the last time these two teams met.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Ridge will venture away from home to face off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
