Soccer Recap: Spaulding Comes Up Short

Spaulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Peoples Academy Wolves. While losing is never fun, Spaulding can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Peoples Academy are ranked sixth).

Spaulding's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Peoples Academy, their record now sits at 10-0.

Looking ahead, Spaulding will square off against Lyndon Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoples Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Montpelier at 11:00 a.m. Montpelier will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Peoples Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
