Soccer Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Jaguars are ranked 100th).

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Midlothian Heritage, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Ennis face off against the Terrell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will head out to challenge Red Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Oak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.
