Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Patrick Henry won the last time they faced Pulaski County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Patrick Henry Patriots snuck past the Pulaski County Cougars with a 56-50 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Cougars are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Patrick Henry has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Pulaski County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will challenge Blacksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pulaski County has already played their next contest (against Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
