Baseball Recap: Socastee Comes Up Short

Socastee saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against the Fluvanna County Flucos, falling 16-2. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Lane made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Socastee's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Fluvanna County, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Socastee will square off against Conway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fluvanna County, they will host Orange County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
