Basketball Recap: Sauk Centre Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Sauk Centre had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-43 win over the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers. Given the Mainstreeters' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Tigers are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sauk Centre pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Sauk Centre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-52 win against Camden/Minneapolis North on the 15th. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they have also already played their next game, a 69-45 defeat against Minnewaska Area on the 18th.
