Basketball Recap: Vassar Comes Up Short

Vassar played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Millington Cardinals, falling 37-17. The Vulcans just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Vassar saw an underclassman step up: freshman Maya Mccloud posted five points. Mccloud also put up a block, which washer first of the season.

Vassar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Millington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vassar will host Reese at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vassar is facing Reese at the right time seeing as Reese is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Millington, they will be playing at home against Unionville-Sebewaing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
