Soccer Recap: Wilson Central Comes Up Short

If Wilson Central was riding high fresh off their 6-1 takedown of Smith County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wilson Central fell just short of the Smyrna Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Wilson Central were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Smyrna apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Wilson Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Smyrna, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Central will host Mount Juliet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smyrna, they will welcome Stewarts Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stewarts Creek will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Smyrna surely won't give up without a fight.
