Volleyball Recap: Keyser Starts Season with Win Against Moorefield

Keyser gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Moorefield Yellow Jackets. The Golden Tornado haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Keyser easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Jillian Ault paced Keyser's offense, picking up seven kills. Ault got some help from Kiya Kesner and her seven assists. Brooklyn Lesher controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keyser is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Preston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moorefield, they will head out to take on Hampshire at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday.
