Basketball Recap: New Lexington Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

If Crooksville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played New Lexington, they should've done a better job of containing Isaiah Stephens. The New Lexington Panthers took down the Crooksville Ceramics 69-54 on Tuesday thanks in part to Stephens, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine boards. Those 32 points gave him a new career-high.

New Lexington has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Crooksville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

New Lexington will welcome Coshocton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coshocton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully New Lexington likes a good challenge. As for Crooksville, they will head out to square off against Meadowbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crooksville is facing Meadowbrook at the right time seeing as Meadowbrook is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
