Petrolia won the last time they faced Quanah and things went their way on Friday too. The Pirates blew past the Indians 56-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Petrolia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kason Gee out in front who rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Gee a new career-high. Brodie Jackson also helped out as he racked up 121 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Petrolia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 430 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 284 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Another reason for the win was Petrolia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by John Dagenais and Layne Russell, who racked up all four sacks between them. Petrolia received some extra help from Dagenais, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Petrolia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Quanah, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Petrolia will head out to face off against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quanah, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lockney at 7:00 p.m.
