Volleyball Game Preview: Universal Stars vs. Islamic Foundation Chargers

The Universal Stars will face off against the Islamic Foundation Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Universal took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over College Prep of America.

While Universal won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Islamic Foundation waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 2-0.

Islamic Foundation not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hinsdale Adventist Academy between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16.

Islamic Foundation's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Universal, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
