Basketball Recap: Animas Comes Up Short

Animas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Capitan Tigers and fell 70-29.

Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Capitan, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Animas will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cloudcroft at 3:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. After both having extra time off, Capitan and Texico will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
