Recap: Colonie Central Raiders vs. New Hartford Spartans
The Colonie Central Raiders put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past New Hartford 61-33 on the road. The score was close at the half, but Colonie Central pulled away in the second half with 39 points.
Trey von Owens-cody was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Trimarchi, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Colonie Central's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for New Hartford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonie Central will take on Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Brothers Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Colonie Central likes a good challenge. As for New Hartford, they will head out on the road to take on Rome Free Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Rome Free Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
