Baseball Recap: Switzerland County Takes a Loss

Switzerland County extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 12-12 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the South Dearborn Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 on Friday.

Switzerland County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Hite, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

As for South Dearborn, they now have a winning record of 12-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On South Dearborn's side, they let Gabe Perry and Conor Huff run wild. Perry went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Huff went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Switzerland County and South Dearborn are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Pacers will host South Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Dearborn, they will face off against Greensburg at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
