Soccer Recap: Citrus Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Citrus won the last time they faced Belleview and things went their way on Thursday too. The Citrus Hurricanes won by a goal and slipped past the Belleview Rattlers 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Brock Doolittle and Henry Trochez scored all three of Citrus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Citrus pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Belleview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9-1.

Citrus will take on Leesburg in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leesburg will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Citrus surely won't give up without a fight. As for Belleview, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Weir on January 7, 2025.
