Softball Game Preview: Canoga Park Hunters vs. Monroe Vikings

The Canoga Park Hunters will head out on the road to take on the Monroe Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Canoga Park hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Canoga Park came up short against Sylmar on Wednesday, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 32-2 margin over Grant on Wednesday. The match marked the Vikings' most dominant win of the season.

Monroe moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Canoga Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Canoga Park beat Monroe 17-12 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hunters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
