Volleyball Recap: Lemon Bay Takes a Loss

Lemon Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Myers Green Wave.

Kylie Jones paced Lemon Bay's offense, picking up nine kills. Jones got some help from Evelyn Swidrak and her 27 assists. Finally, Emma Yeiter and Grace Wear kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Lemon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Fort Myers, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Lemon Bay has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Palmetto Ridge on the 4th. As for Fort Myers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Riverdale on the 4th.
