Football Recap: Ransom Everglades Piles Up the Points Against NSU University

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ransom Everglades). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 43-0 win over the NSU University Sharks. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Ransom Everglades' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Guevara, who threw for 206 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Guevara a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Colton Smith was Guevara's top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory got Ransom Everglades back to even at 4-4. As for NSU University, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Looking ahead, Ransom Everglades will head out on the road to square off against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will be up against the Tornadoes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for NSU University, they will be playing at home against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Sharks' defense better be ready for this one: the Stallions have averaged an impressive 34.7 points per game this season.
